Education Transition Information

While we anticipate that most candidates currently enrolled in CPA PEP will have an opportunity to finish the current program, there is a transition plan to the new CPA Professional Program for those who are eligible and unable to complete PEP.

All PEP education components of the current CPA Certification Program must be successfully completed by December 2028. After that date, if you are eligible, you will be required to transition to the new CPA Professional Program.

To finish the current program we encourage you to plan ahead. Here are some important dates you should take into account:

  • Last Spring CFE: Jun 2026
  • PREP deadline: Semester 4, Oct – Dec 2026
  • Last Core 1 module: Jan – Mar 2027
  • Last Fall CFE: Sep 2028
  • Final date to complete PE requirements in PERT: Dec 2028

Visit the PREP and PEP schedules for specific dates.
